We produce variety of Tea grades, which differ according to various characteristic such as appearance, weight, strength, and taste. We market our products as Kirimetiya and Pattapola mark names on Colombo tea auctions. Our selling marks are well known for their quality. So we have been able to fetch competetive prices for our teas, while offering good quality tea for our tea buyers.

Pekoe

Leaves of this grade are shorter, curly and not much wiry

Pekoe1

Same as Pekoe in appearance, but slightly smaller in size

OP

Less wiry, but much twisted leaf, larger than OP1, but smaller than OPA

OP1

Long, wiry and slightly/partly twisted whole leaf, smaller compared to OP

OPA

Long, bold whole leaf with a twist, larger compared to other OP variants

BOP

Neat leaf, with heavy tea particles, grainy looking

FBOP

Consists of wiry and less twisted leaf, and can contain tips

BOPsp

Slightly larger than BOP, but much cleaner looking and blackish in appearance

FBOPF

Small broken leaf, also contains some golden/silver tips

FBOPF1

Slightly twisted shorter leaf, would also contain some golden/silver tips

FBOPFsp

Smaller, shorter twisted leaf with a fair presence of golden tips

BOPF

Fairly cleaner looking broken leaf with a neat appearance

BOP1A

Flaky leaf without stalk or fiber, should look cleaner

Dust1

Grainy, well made or could be powdery leaf. Can contain fiber or flaky leaf too
